Projects

La Transplanisphère coordinates and collaborates on a number of cultural and artistic projects, both at the local and global scale. Since 2011, the projects are designed and conducted in cooperation with other artistic teams from Europe and beyond, with the support of the Cultural and Educational programs of the European Commission. The company has been a member of Club Unesco since 2019.

Creative Commune

Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership started in April 2022.

The project creates a space for reflection, debate and creation capable of stimulating the creative fever of a “community” in the temporality of a project.

This Erasmus+ supported partnership brings together 5 artistic companies and 4 European institutions.

Oratio Mix

Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership starting in March 2021.

Oratio mix proposes to bring into play the issue of interculturality through the elaboration and expression of a common narrative.

12 artistic and school partners are developing artistic and pedagogical methods to renew intercultural dialogue at school. These tools will be adapted to the whole school spectrum (kindergarten – high school).

Trust Tour

Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership launched in July 2020 (2 years project). 

Through theatre and youth exchanges, 4 European theatre companies propose to question the relationship between the inhabitants of Europe, crossroads of the world.

The partners will develop methodologies and artistic performances to rebuild the bonds of trust and the “common” in Europe.

European Integrity Games

Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership launched in September 2019 (3 years project). 

The issues at stake: integrity, corruption, fraud. The tools: escape game, 3D game, board game.

6 European partners will create Escape Room experiences and Interactive Fiction games to encourage citizens to question notions of integrity in their society.

Five European theatres join a partnership with five theatres from the German Ruhr region.

With the help of artists from the 6 countries involved, 150 young Europeans address the question “What kind of Europe would you like to live in – and what are you willing to do for it?”.

Over the space of a year, the participants work on collaborative performances, culminating in a nine-day-long art summer camp in the Ruhr.

Remixing value

Remixing value connects young people (16-18 years old) from Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin through digital tools and artistic activities.

Through a pathway of online co-creation and encounters in the associated cities, young people will enter into an experimental process of interdisciplinary theatre. The exchange and remix of ideas will be explored in an international and multilingual environment.

Europefiction Academy

Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership starting in September 2021. 

Europefiction Academy proposes to renew artistic creation with European youth. The 2-year project aims to provide new spaces for young people to express themselves on civic issues.

The 10 European partner companies have the ambition to create 6 innovative and artistic methods, adapted to the current health context.

Air du Pollen

The aim of Air du Pollen is to bring the public to understand pollen grains, which are almost invisible to the naked eye, and to grasp their diversity, vulnerability and future.

Through an interactive, visual and sound installation, 30 pollen grains are suspended in the air with a participative mediation pathway. Each pollen tells a story…that of biodiversity.

2 artistic companies and 4 scientists and artists are brought together in this project supported by the Fondation Carasso.

O_Live

The O_Live project allows future citizens to exercise and defend their rights/responsibilities in society, to value diversity and to explore democracy in the context of Olympism.

Through an innovative methodology, students and teachers have the opportunity to learn by combining creative theatre and sport.

5 partners from artistic companies, associations and schools from France, Greece and Germany are involved in this Erasmus+ supported partnership.

LeCAKE

LeCAKE Train aims to be a vector of ecological transformation by equipping cultural organisations with suitable tools to drive their transition.

For 2 years, the partners will design a common base of knowledge, skills and resources for the cultural sector. 4 themes will be explored and developed into educational modules to stimulate a collective experience of ecological transformation.

7 cultural organisations and 1 think tank from 6 European countries and 20 associated partners are involved in this Erasmus+ supported partnership.

Open European Societies

Open European Societies brings together 8 countries and 11 partners, all committed to supporting migrant and refugee integration, community development. Through this project, they investigate and testify on issues of xenophobia, discrimination and hate speech. OES is supported by Europe for Citizens.

The program aims to provide counter-narratives overcoming stereotypes of migrants and refugees as well as the European-migrant relationship through artistic workshops and video campaign.

Le Raincy: 150 Years Anniversary Performance (2019)

To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Le Raincy, Grand Paris, the artistic director Bruno Freyssinet and the production team at La Transplanisphère co-produced a theatrical performance portraying the unique history of the town with local artistic companies.

Supported by the town hall, 250 local inhabitants took to the stage to celebrate their town’s history, in front of more than 1000 spectators.

Endecameron Youth Exchange (2019)

Polart Circle (2016-2019)

How can we develop tools to stimulate the creativity of Europeans? How to share artistic approaches from 9 different countries, which have in common to question political issues through artistic creation?

Polart Circle combines the expertise of 9 European partners to create MOOCs on how to anyone can produce their own artistic content questioning social issues.

The Acts of the Desert (2018)

Dance theatre performance using immersive video, choreographed and performed by Smaïl Kanouté, with Bruno Freyssinet (direction) and Ikse Maître (immersive video device). 

It all started with audio tapes that Smaïl Kanouté received by mail, from different people he met in Mali during trips in 1999 and 2011. The show is based on these testimonies. It is an initiatory journey of a migrant that mixes dance, music and videos.

Trust, Trust 2, Roots of Trust (2016-2018)

Series of youth exchanges focused on the relationship and co-creation capacity between Europeans and migrants.

Europe today is facing a crisis of trust. In the era of Brexit and rising tensions over migration, how can we return back to our common roots?

Through 3 gatherings in Italy, Germany and France, young people and artists are brought together with participants from a migrant or refugee background, to rebuild bonds of trust through artistic and theatrical creation. With the suppot of Erasmus+ and OFAJ.

One Land, Many Faces (2013-2015)

What is European identity when so many European countries are questioning their own identity, and the very notion of identity?

5 authors explore European identity and 6 artists bring their work to life on the stage in a participatory performance which invites the audience to question their own conceptions of European identity.

World Crisis Theatre (2012-2014)

World Crisis Theatre proposes a meeting of professional artists and young people coming from different countries in Europe. Their common goal was the creation of two plays dealing with the 2008 financial crisis and its consequences all over Europe, as well as the organisation of public activities.

Pace Europa (2012-2014)

Partnership of theatrical organisations focusing on the European Debt Crisis. The PACE Learning Partnership attempts to fuse theatre and politics, using artistic expression as a channel to face the current crisis. The project allows a number of European artists to meet and exchange their different creative techniques.

Rec>ON (2011-2013)

Artistic and civic cooperation on the theme of reconciliation involving artists and German, Armenian, French and Turkish NGOs. The project gave birth to the show The Descendants which was created in Yerevan and then presented in Paris, Berlin and Wuppertal. The European Commission presented the project in its 2012 brochure on new audience developments.
