Portrait of Rosanna Frütsche – Reflections on Four Months with the La Transplanisphère

Meet Rosanna Frütsche, a German cultural manager who joined La Transplanisphère in September 24! Hired through the Franco-German program “Travailler chez le partenaire” financed by the Franco-German Youth Office (FGYO), Rosanna is committed to developing sustainable cultural projects with the company. In this interview, she shares her journey and her experience during her first months with La Transplanisphère.

Can you tell us about your background before joining La Transplanisphère?

For the past three years, I’ve been working as a freelancer in sustainable management, overseeing cultural, educational, and social projects. Interestingly, my background isn’t originally in the performing arts. I pursued a Franco-German program in political science between Sciences Po Lille and the University of Münster, specializing in sustainable development. My personal and professional goal is to encourage the socio-ecological transition. I see the cultural sector as particularly promising for engaging and joyfully conveying the values of sustainability to a broad audience.

Was this desire to connect culture and the environment what motivated you to join La Transplanisphère?

Absolutely. I discovered the company through the European project “Le Cake,” which promotes ecological transformation in the cultural sector. At the time, I was collaborating with the Consol Theater, a German theater I had worked with for two years on sustainable cultural projects. Through them, I got to know La Transplanisphère and its artistic director, Bruno Freyssinet. He invited me to join the company via the FGYO program “Travailler chez le partenaire,” which supports professional exchanges between France and Germany.

What projects are you currently working on with La Transplanisphère, and how do you see them evolving in the future?

I’m involved in several initiatives, particularly those focused on sustainability, which encompasses both ecological and social dimensions. At the moment, I’m working on two main projects: “R-Lab,” which focuses on refugee-related initiatives; “Le Cake,” which is centered on ecological transformation in the cultural sector.

In 2025, I’d like to collaborate with La Transplanisphère to submit a new project to the European Union, building on the work started with “Le Cake.”

At the same time, I’m developing a personal project called “The Social Pop-Up Club,” which aims to combine culture, social work, and ecological issues. Thanks to my experience with La Transplanisphère, I’m gaining essential skills in managing European projects, and I hope to bring this idea to life in the coming year.
