La Transplanisphere is part of the Open European Societies project supported by Europe for Citizens. With partners from 8 European countries, we asked 5 questions to citizens of all ages and backgrounds. This international video campaign aims to promote diversity, acceptance, intercultural dialogue as well as to combat hate speech. Questions asked to 30 European citizens: 1. The “Otherness stories” workshop took place in the framework of the Open European Societies project. This project is supported by the European Commission and the EUROPE FOR CITIZENS programme. It is coordinated by the NGO Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. (Dresden, Germany). “Otherness stories” is an intercultural and intergenerational theatre workshop. It took place on 9th February 2020 at the Lycée Albert Schweitzer du Raincy (Seine-Saint-Denis). 20 participants worked in collaboration to imagine and perform stories of otherness. 15-18 March 2019 The event “Performing Migration: Personal Stories Past & Present” was held at the University of Greenwich on 16th March 2019 hosted by the European Reminiscence Network, the University of Greenwich and Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V., Dresden, Germany. The event looked at reminiscence arts work and performance pieces based on the lived experience of migration now and in the past. Performances, exhibitions and lectures took place. The “OPEN EUROPEAN SOCIETIES” project aims to raise awareness on the long History of Migration in Europe which arose from the aftermath
