The LeCAKE Train project was awarded the Paris Europe Label by Arnaud Ngatcha, Deputy Mayor of Paris with responsibility for international relations, Europe, and the French-speaking world, at a ceremony at the Hôtel de Ville on Saturday 13 May 2023. A round table presented the project and discussed the links between Europe, ecological issues, and artistic creation. CAKE is a European project for sustainable cultural innovation. From 1 to 6 May, the LeCAKE consortium travelled to Italy, to Rieti and Rocca Sinibalda, the project’s associate partners. This was the first of four face-to-face meetings to be organised during the project (in Italy, France, Germany and Greece). The first research workshop for Theatre Makes Politics (TMP) will take place in Paris – Montreuil in September 2022, from the 20th to the 22nd. 3 other workshops follow in Greece (October), Portugal (November) and North Macedonia (January). Then, the project activities develop until 2024. Based on theatre practices, TMP wants to propose a creative response addressing religious extremism, populism, racism and conspiracy theories in Europe. The Printemps des Arts week took place from 19 to 22 April at Lycée Albert Schweitzer ! As part of this annual arts festival, the company ran two workshops on the project Oratio Mix. Euro German classes from Collège Corot and the Schweitzer high school met and exchanged ideas around an exhibition. A visit of two classes of kindergarten and primary school was also organised within the high school for a rich sharing around readings.
